Conventional trust icons on the web were established by companies that many of us know little, if anything, about. So do trust icons even matter really? The most prolific means of communicating great experiences with products, services, and companies is through word-of-mouth. What other people have to say matters. Credibility matters. So why isn't trust what WE say it is?
PeopleTrusted helps bring credibility and social reputation to products, services, and companies. We do this by aggregating feedback from real people just like you. When you see a product, service, or company registered with PeopleTrusted, you are afforded the opportunity to provide your feedback (whether positive or negative). Next, we run everybody's comments through an algorithm. The final result is a PeopleTrusted Rating.
At the heart of PeopleTrusted is democracy. Each and every vote counts. However, PeopleTrusted also hopes to give the products, services, and companies who falter a chance to make up for it. Thus, we weight the most recent comments more heavily than older comments. This gives everyone a remedy for past mistakes.
